A foggy morning

Foggy mornings are my favorite. I love the way it creates depth within the scene and how you can create unique compositions. You can also take advantage of it to draw attention to certain parts of the image.

On my way to work in Rome, Georgia, I noticed the thick layer of fog covering the rivers downtown. I parked near the Forum River Center and immediately saw the Ellen Axson Wilson Statue at the beginning of the Chief John Ross Memorial Bridge that crosses the Oostanaula River from West Third Street.

It was a breathtaking scene. I only had a few minutes before the fog cleared to get one of my favorite photos in a long time.
